It comes in a plan small letter size envelope in a small ziploc bag with the reciept. I had tried this variety from a local nursery that went out of business and loved them. So I thought I'd try these. I planted 2 pony packs of 6 each of a few kinds of tomatoes besides this one (roma, Brandywine, yellow pear, and this persimmon.) I put them in the small greenhouse I have that has a heating mat...all the other tomatoes sprouted pretty consistently (maybe 1-3 duds each) in about 10 days except these Persimmon, of which out of 12, only 1 sprouted! So that's not good! That's pretty expensive to get ONE plant out of it when someone gave me the pack of Brandywine from a grocery store that did well. So I'd caution anyone from purchasing these. Quite disappointed... :( I'll try to be optimistic about the one that did make it.Update 8/25Both of the surviving plants did grow fruit but they ARE NOT PERSIMMON whatsoever. They are Smallish pale slightly orange red tomatoes the size of ping pong balls! The flavor wasn’t very good and basically a CHERRY tomato! HIGHLY disappointed by these. Too late to send them back and get a refund! Please DO NOT buy these (unless you want cherry tomatoes!)
